You are going to meet a lot of assholes. It’s the same everywhere isn’t it though?
Some of the rankest assholes in the D–K appear to members of a little band of happy idiots called the Danish People’s Party, otherwise known as the Danske Folke Parti.
The politically powerful group in Denmark is comprised of weak and unpopular people who have clubbed together to wreak havoc and spread their evil nastiness. Unless you are Denish and then you will find them to be utterly charming and want to hear what they like to eat for breakfast and what their favourite music is. DFP members should be shoved in some quiet office and kept a careful eye on, but no, this is Denmark, the place NeoNazi’s come to relax.
Their big thing is keeping Denmark clean. They don’t like foreigners, probably not even the blanched European version, and they want Denmark small and exclusive. I can relate to all of that because I am territorial myself, but really, these people have no heart. And you can’t be human without a heart can you? And being human takes a lot of effort. So we can say that the DFP people are basically what they are, and you have to get used to it, because they are here, and they have their foot in the door politically.
A recent example of what the DFP people say is this one, it’s a comment about the new test that charges foreigners to take a test to be here:
“Danish People’s Party MP Jesper Langballe said if the test could cut down the number of immigrants coming to Denmark, then it would serve its purpose.
‘We wouldn’t be sorry if it meant the number of applicants fell,’ he said.”
No, they wouldn’t be sorry if the number of immigrants coming to Denmark could be cut down, and you might as well get used to the fact that this is an all pervasive mood in Denmark.
They are happy with what they got and they don’t want to change it or share it, and they certainly don’t want any new people here.
Personally though, I know people who agree with the DFP and that isn’t too difficult. No matter what a Danish person votes for, the DFP really is representing basic Danish values. They are what they are, and if we are human we will find the grace in our hearts to forgive them.
But we don’t have to agree with them, and when we are particularly frustrated with the sh!t they come out with, we are permitted to call them ugly names in the heat of the moment.

Can I throw them out of the country? God knows I paid a lot more to get in here, so according to the rules of capitalism, I own the country more than they do. Woohooo , get out of MY Denmark.

Arch: No, don’t throw shoes. You have to understand them, they are perfectly harmless, like bees, just getting along with their own business, building their little infrastructures, making a lot of gooey mess for themselves to feed on, creating grubs etc.
But if you start throwing stuff at them or swatting at them, they will be ooo my goodness, they get quite erm, well it’s not nice, but they get very acidic, and sting sting sting till they are all spent and then flop in the floor with nothing left but the sting.
You just have to learn to walk around them. If you give them too much focus or get involved with them or take them seriously, then you will end up getting sucked into a dark vortex and become all sick and twisted, and pretty soon you’ll be breastfeeding your own cats and dressing them up as little lord fauntleroy that sort of thing.
Which is not good.

June, I am not sure it is capitalism that is there thing. I think it’s a bit more basic than that.
For some reason they feel very threatened and they really are a ‘They’ and we really are an ‘Us’.
But the more prejudiced I get (living in the D–K) against the Danish Minded, the more i can understand how the DFP lot are, they see a bunch of people who they don’t particularly want to share space with and they have ended up hating them.
I just don’t have a thing about immigration the way they do and while I think that while we do have borders they should be monitored, my feeling is that immigration has been good for Denmark, because this place was so boring and dull before the newbies came.
But the DFP feel that Denmark is being soiled by the newbies and are worried about themselves being ‘watered down’. I think they quite like the idea of white people being better than non whites people. But I don’t know because I only have anecdotal evidence to support that.
There are several priests in DK who are DFP.
In England the clergy are banned from being members of the British National Party.
It’s just different here is all. They have only had electricity on the mainland for about 24 years.
I know people who spout DFP values and what I find astounding is that when they are raging and ranting and spitting and hissing about foreigners they seem unaware that I am a foreigner. That is always interesting if a little bit painful to be in on, because I just let them talk and in this way I get insight.
While some have accused me of being irresponsible writing the way I do, I can’t be that irresponsible because I never repeat the very depths of depravity I have witnessed amongst the nationalists in Denmark. If I did so I would be inciting riots. Which I am too much of a yellow belly to take the lead on.
But yeah, I am suggesting they are a pretty dodgy bunch because they are fanatics. The bearded terrorist lot are so similar to the DFP..it’s all about people going completely and utterly mad and not being human any more.
When people get to the stage where they can look at their neighbours kids and see animals that could be dispensed with or cast out, then we are talking serious shit.
We ALL have it in us, but it’s whether we take responsibility for our hateful bits that makes us human or not.
